Meet Caroline Sylger Jones

Caroline is a professional writer with a First Class degree in English from The University of Birmingham and a Master of Arts in English from The University of Sussex. She is the Retreat Editor of Psychologies magazine, for which she writes a monthly column, and the Founder and Content Director of Queen of Retreats, a hugely respected curated collection of retreats reviewed by trusted writers and wellbeing buffs. Her poetry has been published by Carcanet Press, and she’s the author of the healthy travel books Body & Soul Escapes Worldwide and Body & Soul Escapes: Britain & Ireland (Footprint).

Working on the road and from her home office with views of lush green hills in South Devon, Caroline has contributed features and reviews to major international newspapers and magazines for over 25 years including The Times, The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent and Condé Nast Traveller. She’s a spa columnist for, and the Features Editor of, which strives to galvanise the travel industry towards genuine sustainability. Caroline also writes copy for various clients in the wellbeing and travel industries, sells her photography at Alamy, and has been an expert speaker on the radio including Radio 4’s programme The Traveller’s Tree. She is deliberately not on any social media, but you can drop her a line here.
